Benetech GM1650 Infrared Thermometer

The Benetech GM1650 is a handheld, non-contact infrared thermometer built for high-temperature work. It measures surface temperature from 200 to 1650 °C (392 to 3002 °F) with a resolution of 0.1 °C or 0.1 °F and an accuracy of ±1.5 °C (±2.7 °F) or ±1.5 %, whichever is greater.

A distance-to-spot ratio of 50:1 allows hot targets to be measured from a safe distance, while the emissivity can be adjusted from 0.10 to 1.00 (preset 0.95) to suit the material being measured. The response time is 500 ms (95 % response) and the spectral response is 8 to 14 um.

The LCD shows the measuring reading and unit together with icons for laser, backlight, battery power, scanning, data hold, data storage / read and the low and high temperature alarms. The instrument runs on a 9 V alkaline or NiCd battery, with a typical alkaline battery life of 22 hours without the laser and 12 hours with the laser on.
