The Lutron YK-35UV is a professional UV light meter for measuring ultra-violet irradiation in the UVA and UVB bands. Its UV sensor has a band pass of 260 nm to 390 nm, and the meter offers two ranges, 2 mW/cm² and 20 mW/cm², with resolutions of 0.001 and 0.01 mW/cm². Accuracy is ± (4 % FS + 2 dgt), with calibration executed under UVA light and compared with a standard UVA light meter.
The UV sensor is housed in a separate probe with a cosine correction filter, so the light can be measured at the optimum position while the reading is taken from the LCD display. A microprocessor circuit, a built-in Zero button and Hold and REC buttons make routine measurements straightforward.
The meter runs on a DC 9V battery and has a DC 9V power adapter input socket. Its RS-232/USB computer interface allows readings to be sent to a PC using the optional cables and data acquisition software. Typical applications include UV sterilization, curing of inks, adhesives and coatings, photoresist exposure, UV EPROM erasure and general laboratory use.
