The Benetech GM3120 measures electric field (1–1999 V/m) and magnetic field (0.01–99.99 μT) radiation at the same time over a 5 Hz–3500 MHz bandwidth. It offers a sound-light alarm, data hold, average/peak values and an LCD trend bar, and runs on one 9V battery.
The Benetech GM3120 is a handheld radiation survey meter that tests electric field radiation and magnetic field emission in a single instrument. A built-in electromagnetic radiation sensor feeds a control micro-chip, and the result is shown on a 3-1/2-digit LCD: electric field from 1 V/m to 1999 V/m and magnetic field from 0.01 μT to 99.99 μT, over a testing bandwidth of 5 Hz to 3500 MHz with a sampling time of about 0.4 seconds.
It is used to check the electromagnetic radiation situation indoors and outdoors – houses, apartments, offices and industrial sites – and to test sources such as mobile phones, computers, TV sets, refrigerators and high-voltage cables, as well as the effect of radiation-proof clothes, films and other protection articles. When the reading exceeds the alarm threshold (40 V/m or 0.4 μT) the instrument alarms automatically, and the display shows whether the value is in the safe or the harmful zone.
The meter is powered by one 6F22 9V battery, switches off automatically after 5 minutes without key operation, measures 63.6 × 31 × 125.8 mm and weighs 146 g. Storage temperature: -10 to 50 °C.
