The laser sight allows accurate targeting and the response is quick, about 0.5 seconds.
The LTX12 covers -30 to 650 °C with a 10:1 distance to measurement spot ratio and a fixed emissivity of 0.95. Its ThermoSounder function gives audio feedback: a reference temperature is set by pointing at the object and pressing the trigger; a temperature higher than the reference generates a fast beeping and a lower one a slow beeping, while the precise reading remains available on the LCD display at all times.
