The HM Digital COM-100 is a waterproof (IP-67) handheld meter for electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS) and temperature. It reads 0-9990 µS and 0-8560 ppm with ±2% accuracy, automatic temperature compensation and push-button digital calibration.
The HM Digital COM-100 is a handheld, completely waterproof meter that measures three parameters: electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS) and temperature. EC is displayed in µS or mS over 0 - 9990 µS (0 - 9.99 mS), and TDS in ppm (mg/L) up to 8560 ppm on the 0.7 (442) scale or up to 5000 ppm on the 0.5 (NaCl) scale, with an accuracy of ±2%.
Two pre-programmed, non-linear EC-to-TDS conversion factors are selected by the user: 0.7 (442), which simulates natural water such as rivers, lakes, wells and drinking water, and 0.5 (NaCl), for water whose properties are similar to sodium chloride such as seawater and brackish water. Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) adjusts every reading to what it would be at 25 °C, and the temperature is shown on the LCD at the same time as the EC or TDS reading, in °C or °F.
The meter is factory calibrated with a 1413 µS KCl solution and can be recalibrated digitally with the push buttons to any point within its range. The housing is IP-67 rated, submersible and floats, and the detachable probe with platinum electrodes can be replaced (replacement sensor model SP-C1) without buying a new meter. The meter is supplied with a cap, batteries and a lanyard.
