Elmetron CP-511 Laboratory pH Meter

The Elmetron CP-511 is a simple, easy-to-use laboratory meter for measuring pH, redox potential (mV) and temperature. Its large, easy-to-read LCD display shows the measured function and the temperature value at the same time.

The pH electrode is calibrated in 1 to 3 points (4.00, 7.00, 9.00 or 4.00, 7.00, 10.00) with automatic buffer detection, and readings are corrected by automatic temperature compensation. The pH range is -2.00 to 16.00 pH with 0.01 pH resolution, the mV range is ±1999 mV and the temperature range is -50.0 to 199.9 °C. The meter stores 50 results and has no PC connection.

Depending on the kind of pH electrode applied, the meter can be used for clean water, waste water, meat, cheese, pastes, soil and similar samples. The EPS-1 electrode of the standard set is intended for clear water only and should not be used in other types of liquid; liquids with sediment should be measured with the IJ44A pH electrode, whose intermediate junction protects the real junction (diaphragm) against clogging and ensures stable measurements in liquids and semi-liquid masses in which other electrodes quickly stop working. When properly handled, its lifetime is longer than that of standard electrodes.
