The Lovibond TB 211 IR is a compact portable infrared turbidity meter for fast, accurate on-site analysis. It measures 90° scattered light to EN ISO 7027 over 0.01–1100 NTU on coloured and colourless samples, stores 125 data sets and transfers results to a PC via USB.
The Lovibond TB 211 IR is a compact infrared turbidity measuring instrument for fast and accurate on-site analysis. As provided in EN ISO 7027, it measures the scattered light at an angle of 90° (nephelometric principle), using a temperature-compensated LED (λ = 860 nm) and a photosensor amplifier in a waterproof sample chamber.
The wide measuring range from 0.01 to 1100 TE/F = NTU = FNU (autorange), with a detection limit of 0.01 NTU, allows the instrument to be used in different areas, from drinking water to waste water. Because the measurement is made with infrared light, both coloured and colourless water samples can be measured.
Measurement results are transferred directly to a PC through the USB interface, and the required USB cable is part of the delivery. An internal ring memory for 125 data sets and a real-time clock with date support efficient data management. The turbidity standards needed to adjust the instrument are supplied, and a second adjustment mode allows an alternative adjustment with user-defined turbidity standards.
