The TA300A is the Shore A model of the TA300 series of digital durometers for Shore hardness. It measures Shore A hardness over a range of 0-100 HA with a resolution of 0.5 HA, using an indenter with a 0.79 mm diameter contact point, and shows the result on a large, easy-to-read LCD.
Type A durometers of the series are used to measure rubber, hard resin, glass, thermoplastic plastics, printing plates and fiber. The instrument is compact, lightweight and simple to use, and is well suited to soft rubber, printer rollers and other elastomer materials.
Zero can be set at any position, the measured value can be held on the display, and readings can be transferred through the data output. The tester is powered by a 1.5V battery.
