Benetech GT5105A digital earth resistance tester with 20 Ω, 200 Ω and 2000 Ω ranges, precise 3-wire or simple 2-wire measurement and ground voltage up to 200 V. Backlit LCD, data hold, memory for 20 readings, and CAT III 600 V double-insulated construction.
The Benetech GT5105A is a digital earth resistance tester controlled by an intelligent microcontroller chip for high accuracy and reliability. It measures the grounding resistance of power facility wiring, electrical equipment, lightning protection equipment and other grounding devices, and it also measures ground voltage.
Ground resistance is measured in three ranges (20 Ω, 200 Ω and 2000 Ω) using the precise three-wire method with the two auxiliary ground nails, or the simple two-wire method on the 2000 Ω range when an existing low-resistance ground such as a water pipe or a building ground terminal is used as the reference electrode. The test signal frequency is about 820 Hz. Before a resistance test, the 200 V ground voltage range lets you check that the ground voltage does not exceed 10 V, which would affect the accuracy of the resistance reading.
Readings can be held on the backlit LCD and up to 20 readings can be saved, reviewed and cleared from the instrument. Note: the instrument is not suitable for harsh outdoor environmental conditions such as rain and lightning.
