The Benetech GM640 is a handheld grain moisture meter with a separate plug-in test probe. It measures grain moisture content from 5% to 30% and grain temperature from -10 to 60 °C, with grain variety selection, an over-standard moisture warning, data hold, backlight and auto power-off.
The Benetech GM640 is a handheld meter for testing the moisture content of grain. A separate test probe plugs into the meter through a directional connector; the user selects the grain variety, and the screen shows the moisture content as a percentage together with the code of the selected variety.
The moisture content measuring range is 5%~30% with a resolution of 0.5% and a maximum error of ±(1%Rh+0.5). The meter also measures the temperature of the grain from -10℃ to 60℃ with a resolution of 0.1℃ / 0.1℉ and a maximum error of ±2.5℃ (±5℉), switchable between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
A moisture content standard can be set on the meter, which then gives a warning when the grain moisture is over the standard. The meter is powered by 3×1.5V AAA batteries and is designed for an operating environment of 0℃~40℃ and 0~85%Rh.
