Benetech GM630 Induction Wood Moisture Meter

The Benetech GM630 is an induction moisture meter that measures the moisture content of wood by placing the instrument closely on the wood surface, without damaging it. Its moisture measurement range of 0.5 % to 79.5 % is suitable for most kinds of wood, with a detection depth of 0 to 50 mm.

Because different woods have different densities, the meter provides 8 gears covering wood densities from 0.27 to 1.05 g/cm³; the manual includes a wood density table listing the wood varieties of each gear. The instrument has temperature compensation and also displays temperature from 0 to 50 °C in °C or °F.

A moisture limit value can be set separately for each wood density gear: when the reading is greater than or equal to the limit the display shows «×», otherwise «√». The reading can be locked with the HOLD key, and the meter powers off automatically after 5 minutes without any action.
