Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colourless, odourless and tasteless toxic gas that is easily ignored and can cause poisoning. The Wintact WT8825 detects the carbon monoxide concentration and displays it continuously on a large, clear LCD, with a sound and light alarm that warns operators when a dangerous gas level is present.

The detector measures from 0 to 1000 ppm and the reading can be switched between ppm, %VOL, %LEL and mg/m³. Its response time is under 30 seconds, and it starts normal measurement 10 seconds after power-on. The display also shows the temperature of the carbon monoxide sensor in °C or °F, the battery level and the buzzer status.

It is widely used in petroleum, chemistry, coal mining, metallurgy, papermaking, fire-fighting, municipal administration, telecommunication, food, textile and other industries. The unit runs on three 1.5 V AAA batteries.
