The Lutron CMF-3200 is a true RMS flexible clamp meter with a slim 300 mm, 8 mm diameter probe that measures AC current up to 3000 A with auto range. It also measures AC/DC voltage up to 1000 V, resistance, capacitance, diode and continuity on a 6000-count LCD. CAT III 1000 V.
The Lutron CMF-3200 is a complete flexible clamp meter: the meter and its slim flexible current probe form one set. The probe is 300 mm (11.8 inch) long and 8 mm in diameter, which makes it easy and convenient to measure AC current up to 3000 A, with the 600 A and 3000 A ranges selected automatically. The coil is double insulated and the AC current and AC voltage measurements are true RMS.
Beyond current, the meter measures DC and AC voltage up to 1000 V, resistance up to 60 MΩ and capacitance up to 600 uF, and it performs diode and continuity tests. Its smart operation uses three positions only, V, Ω and A: the V position selects DCV or ACV automatically, and the Ω position selects resistance, diode, continuity beeper or capacitance automatically, all with auto range.
The instrument has a 6000-count LCD, data hold, auto power off to save battery life, 10 M ohm input impedance on the voltage circuit and built-in overload protection for most ranges. It meets the IEC 1010, CAT III 1000 V safety requirement and is housed in a strong, light weight ABS-plastic case.
