The LOG220 belongs to the Dostmann electronic LOG200 series of PDF data loggers. It records, displays and monitors with alarms the temperature, relative humidity, dew point and barometric pressure. According to the manufacturer, areas of application include the monitoring of storage and transport conditions and of other temperature-, moisture- and/or pressure-sensitive processes.

The logger is delivered preset and can be used immediately without any software: recording is started with a button, and when the logger is plugged into a USB port it stops and creates a PDF report with configuration, summary, graph and alarm status by itself (this can take up to 40 seconds). The built-in USB connector fits Windows PCs, Apple computers or tablets without a cable (a USB adapter might be required). Recording interval, alarm limits, start and stop conditions and the internal clock are set with the free LogConnect software from the manufacturer.

The LCD shows air pressure in the first measurement line and humidity, temperature and dew point alternately in the second; a third line indicates MIN, MAX and AVG values, and the bottom status line shows battery capacity, logger mode and alarm status. A green LED flashes every 30 seconds during recording, a red LED and an internal buzzer signal limit alarms.
