The Tenmars TM-4001 is a hot-wire air velocity meter with a fast-response telescoping probe. It measures air velocity from 0.01 to 40.00 m/s, calculates air flow volume in CMM and CFM, and measures temperature from -20 to 60 °C, with a triple LCD and a 99-record memory.
The Tenmars TM-4001 is a hot-wire air velocity meter supplied with the HP-01 fast-response telescoping probe. It measures air velocity from 0.01 to 40.00 m/s with a resolution of 0.01 m/s and an accuracy of ±3% of reading ±1%FS, and shows the result in m/s, ft/min, knots, km/hr, mph or on the Beaufort scale.
Besides air speed, the meter calculates air flow volume in CMM and CFM, with instant, average and 2/3 V Max air flow measurement, and measures air temperature from -20 to 60 °C with an accuracy of ±1 °C. Readings appear on an LCD triple display, and up to 99 records can be stored manually and read back on the meter.
A hot-wire anemometer is typically used where a vane anemometer cannot be used, such as HVAC ducts and vents; the telescoping probe gives access to hard-to-reach measuring points. Typical applications include air balancing, paint booths, ventilation systems and environmental testing. Humidity, dew point and wet bulb temperature are functions of the TM-4002 model and are not available on the TM-4001.
