Lutron MG-3003SD AC/DC magnetic meter with a separate Hall sensor probe and automatic temperature compensation. Measures DC fields up to 3000.0 mT and AC fields up to 1500.0 mT in mT or Gauss, and records readings in real time to an SD card that opens directly in Excel.
The Lutron MG-3003SD is a wide-range, general-purpose magnetic meter for industrial, mechanical, material, electrical and laboratory field use. It measures both DC and AC magnetic fields in milli Tesla (mT) or Gauss (G): DC ranges of 300.00 mT and 3000.0 mT, and AC ranges of 150.00 mT and 1500.0 mT, with resolution of 0.01 mT / 0.1 mT and 0.1 G / 1 G. In DC mode it indicates the N/S (north/south) polarity and offers a zero button.
The separate uniaxial probe uses a Hall sensor, and a temperature sensor built into the probe head provides automatic temperature compensation (ATC). The separate probe makes operation easy and convenient for remote measurement.
The meter is a real-time SD memory card datalogger with built-in clock and calendar. The sampling time can be set from 1 second to 3600 seconds, and a manual datalogger mode saves one reading per button push with a location number from position 1 to position 99. No extra software is needed: plug the SD card into a computer and the measured values, with year/month/date/hour/minute/second, open directly in Excel for further data or graphic analysis.
