Elmetron CC-411 Waterproof Conductivity / Salinity Meter

The Elmetron CC-411 is a simple portable meter that measures conductivity, salinity, TDS and temperature, for use in the field and in the laboratory. It measures liquids with conductivity up to 200 mS/cm over 4 sub-ranges switched automatically, and its display shows the measured function and the temperature at the same time.

Salinity is calculated from conductivity according to the real characteristic rather than a constant coefficient, with conversion to NaCl or KCl, and the total dissolved solids (TDS) value is estimated with a coefficient set by the user between 0.20 and 1.00. The cell constant K can be entered directly or determined with a standard solution. Temperature compensation is automatic with a constant α coefficient of 2 %/°C and a reference temperature of 25 °C or 20 °C (e.g. for measurements in honey); for precise temperature-compensated measurements Elmetron recommends its 401 or 461 series meters.

Low weight, small dimensions and a waterproof IP-66 housing make the CC-411 well suited to work in difficult field conditions. With a special sensor it can also measure the electric admittance of tree seedlings to determine their vitality. The meter has no PC connection.
