Lutron DT-2336 Tachometer / Stroboscope with Type K and Pt 1000 Thermometer

The Lutron DT-2336 is a multi-function handheld instrument that brings five measurements together: a photo tachometer, a contact tachometer, a stroboscope, a Type K thermocouple thermometer and a Pt 1000 Ω thermometer. The photo tachometer reads from 5 to 99,999 RPM using a high-intensity white light beam, with 0.5 RPM resolution below 1,000 RPM and an accuracy of ± (0.05 % + 1 digit). Its typical detecting distance is 50 to 150 mm, up to 300 mm depending on ambient light.

In contact mode, with the supplied cone and funnel RPM adapters, it measures 0.5 to 19,999 RPM, and with the surface speed test wheel it reads linear speed in m/min, ft/min or in/min (0.05 to 1,999.9 m/min). The stroboscope flashes from 100 to 99,990 RPM/FPM, adjusted with a digital rotate knob and ×2, ÷2, + and − buttons, with an accuracy of ± (0.1 % + 2 d).

With an optional probe, the same meter measures temperature: Type K from -100.0 to 1300.0 °C and Pt 1000 Ω from -10 to 70 °C, both with 0.1 °C resolution. The last, maximum and minimum values are stored automatically and recalled with the REC button. The meter runs on four UM3-AA batteries or an optional DC adapter, and an optional USB or RS232 cable with data acquisition software connects it to a PC.
