TPI 368 Close-Focus Pocket-Size Infrared Thermometer

The TPI 368 is a close-focus, pocket-size infrared thermometer that instantly reads surface temperatures without touching the target. It measures from -22 to 120 °C with 0.1° resolution, a less-than-0.5-second response and a 1:1.3 distance-to-spot ratio, and readings can be shown in Fahrenheit or Centigrade.

For an accurate reading, the manufacturer recommends holding the instrument 0.5 to 2 inches from the surface (spot size 0.35 in). Point it at the surface and press and hold the ON/SET button: the temperature appears in less than 2 seconds and is held on the display for 10 seconds. The AUTO mode scans surface temperatures continuously in real time.

Typical applications cover HVACR (compressor heads, vents, steam traps, registers and leaks around cooler, freezer doors and windows), food service (surface, holding-cabinet, serving and storage temperatures) and electrical maintenance (cables, circuit breakers, connections, machinery, motors and transformers).
