The GAM-391 is a handheld Geiger counter that detects X, gamma and beta rays with an energy-compensation GM tube. It shows dose rate and cumulative dose in five switchable units, alarms by light, vibration or sound at preset thresholds and runs on a rechargeable 1100 mAh battery.
The GAM-391 is a handheld dosimeter that detects X-rays, gamma (γ) rays and beta (β) rays. Its detector is an energy-compensation GM tube with a sensitivity of 80 CPM/μSv for Co-60 and an energy range of 48 keV to 1.5 MeV (≤ ±30 % for 137Cs); the cumulative dose equivalent is recorded from 0.00 μSv to 500.0 mSv.
Readings can be shown in five switchable units – μSv/h, μGy/h, mR/h, CPS and CPM – on a high-definition LCD that also shows the real-time clock and date, average and maximum values and a graphical trend with MIN/MAX. Dose-rate and cumulative-dose alarm thresholds can be preset, with a light, vibration or sound alarm.
The meter runs on a rechargeable 1100 mAh Li battery charged through its USB Type-C port, saves its data automatically when switched off and comes with a 1-year warranty. It suits ionizing zones, factory and medical equipment, ore, power plants and the home environment, for outdoor industrial research as well as personal home use.
