The SHAHE 5217 combines an LCD digital readout with a conventional scale line, so the operator can confirm every reading on the display and on the scale at the same time. It covers a measuring range of 0-25 mm with a resolution of 0.001 mm and an accuracy of ±0.003 mm, and its durable carbide measuring head is made for everyday use in the workshop and the inspection room.

The micrometer is suitable for both direct and comparative measurement. The ZERO/ABS key switches between absolute and relative (INC) measurement and resets the reading with a long press; the in/mm key toggles between metric and inch units; and the HOLD/SET key locks the current value on the display, which is convenient where the screen cannot be read directly. When at the zero position, a long press on HOLD/SET sets the zero position value to 0, 25, 50 or 75.

The instrument is powered by one 3V CR2032 cell (not included) with a power consumption of ≤20 µA, and it switches off automatically after 5 minutes without operation. It is designed to work at 0-40 °C and humidity up to 80 %.
