GM-268 Tri-Angle Digital Glossmeter

The GM-268 is a portable optical instrument for measuring the gloss of paints, powder coatings, marble tiles, plastics and polished metals. It combines 20°, 60° and 85° measuring geometries in a single handheld body and reports results in Gloss Units (GU) over a range of 0.1 to 200 GU, in line with ASTM D523, ISO 2813, DIN 67530 and GB/T 9754.

The 20° geometry is intended for high-gloss surfaces, 60° is the universal angle for semi-gloss finishes, and 85° covers matte and low-gloss surfaces. Five dedicated keys handle measurement, angle selection, calibration, memory recall and deletion, while the internal memory lets inspectors review stored readings to check consistency across production batches.

The GM-268 serves quality control in automotive, aerospace and construction-material manufacturing, as well as powder-coating shops, ceramic tile, furniture and printing plants. It is supplied in a moulded storage base that holds a factory-certified high-reflectivity reference tile for calibration and protects the measuring aperture; keep the tile free of smudges, fingerprints and scratches before calibrating.
