SEW 277 HP Non-Contact High Voltage Detector

The SEW 277 HP is an ideal tool for checking the presence of AC high voltages and AC low voltages in cables, wall outlets, fuses and similar points. It provides non-contact detection of AC voltages from 50V to 132kV and is also intended for industrial, utility and mine safety applications.

Two function buttons select the detection range: LOW for 50V~1.5kV and HIGH for 1.5kV~132kV, each with its own range LED, while blue LEDs indicate detection. For high voltage detection (1.5kV~132kV) the detector is used on a hot stick, which attaches to the connection point at the end of the handle.

Typical tasks include non-contact detection of live voltages, finding faults and breaks in cables, checking and detecting live high voltage cables, tracing live wires, checking high-frequency radiation, checking grounding equipment and detecting residual or induced voltages.
