The Lutron PS-9302 is a microprocessor-based pressure meter that works with a separate pressure sensor, which makes operation easy and allows remote measurement. It accepts the optional full line of PS100-xxBAR sensors of 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 400 bar; when the sensor is changed, the sensor type is simply selected with a button on the front panel and stored permanently in EEPROM, so no new calibration is necessary.

Readings are shown on a super large 61 mm x 34 mm LCD with 15 mm digits and contrast adjustment, in any of 8 pressure units selected by push button: bar, psi, Kg/cm2, mm/Hg, inch/Hg, meter/H2O, inch/H2O and Atmosphere. The meter records maximum and minimum readings with recall, holds the displayed value, and offers a front-panel zero button and push-button gain adjustment.

An RS 232 PC serial interface lets the meter work with a personal computer as a data logger or pressure recorder. The manufacturer lists these applications: pneumatic pressures, automobile engine vacuum pressures, pressure for super heat measurements, hydraulic servo controls, air conditioning, refrigeration and food processing. The pressure sensor is an optional accessory and is not listed among the accessories included with the meter.
