The Lutron EMF-8218SD is a 3-axis EMF tester with a separate triaxial probe. It measures each axis (X, Y, Z) and the XYZ sum in three ranges up to 2000 µT (20000 mG) over 30 Hz to 300 Hz, and records readings with date and time on an SD card that opens directly in Excel.
The Lutron EMF-8218SD is a digital, triaxial EMF tester with a separate three-channel measurement probe for non-directional (isotropic) measurement. It measures the electromagnetic field on each axis (X, Y, Z) as well as the sum of XYZ, in micro Tesla or milli-Gauss, over three manually selected ranges: 20/200/2000 µT (200/2000/20000 mG), with a measurement bandwidth of 30 Hz to 300 Hz.
The meter is a real-time data recorder with a built-in clock and calendar. Readings are saved on an SD memory card (1 GB to 16 GB) together with the time information (year/month/date, hour/minute/second). No extra software is needed: the SD card is simply plugged into the computer and the saved data opens directly in Excel for further data or graphic analysis.
Automatic logging uses a sampling time of 2 to 3600 seconds; in manual mode each push of the logger button saves one reading and a position (location) number from 1 to 99 can be selected. The meter is powered by 6 x UM3/AA batteries or an optional DC 9V adapter.
