Elmetron MG-411 Waterproof Coating Thickness Gauge

The Elmetron MG-411 is used for accurate measurements of non-magnetic coatings on ferrous surfaces. It measures varnish (paint) layers, insulating anti-corrosion coatings and plastic layers applied to a steel base, and it may also be used to measure zinc coating on a steel surface.

The MG-411 is also suited to precise inspection of steel car bodies: determining the thickness of the varnish (lacquer) and finding repaired places. It is an accurate instrument for field and laboratory work, small and light, in a waterproof IP-66 housing.

The gauge measures from 0 to 1999 µm with a resolution of 1 µm and an accuracy of ±2 % ±2 µm (±1 digit). It is accurately calibrated by the manufacturer, and for untypical surfaces the user can calibrate it on the uncoated surface (0 point) and on a freely chosen thickness standard. The meter has no PC connection; results are kept in its internal memory.
