Benetech GM63B Vibration Meter

The Benetech GM63B is a vibration meter built around a shear-type piezoelectric ceramic accelerometer. It is intended for monitoring all kinds of vibrating mechanical equipment, and in particular for vibration measurement on rotating and reciprocating machinery in mechanical manufacturing, electric power, metallurgy and general aviation.

One instrument covers the three standard vibration quantities: acceleration from 0.1 to 199.9 m/s² peak, velocity from 0.1 to 199.9 mm/s rms and displacement from 0.001 to 1.999 mm p-p, with an accuracy of ±5% ±2 digits. Acceleration can be measured in a low band (10 Hz – 1 kHz) or a high band (1 kHz – 15 kHz); velocity and displacement are measured in the 10 Hz – 1 kHz band.

The sensor sits in a separate handle with its own ON/MEAS button: press the tip against the surface with a vertical force of 500 g – 1 kg, read the value, and release the button to hold it. Interchangeable S and L probe tips and a magnetic probe adapt the meter to different measuring points, while the second display line shows temperature (-10 °C to 80 °C) or the maximum value.
