The 3000P is a portable transit-time ultrasonic flow meter with clamp-on transducers, so no pipe cutting or tapping is needed. It measures ±0.01 to ±12 m/s with ±1% of measured value accuracy on 25–1200 mm pipes, logs to a 16G SD card and offers 4–20 mA and RS485 outputs.
The 3000P is a full-function handheld transit-time ultrasonic flow meter. Its clamp-on transducers are mounted on the outside of the pipe, so no cutting or tapping is required, and the meter is easily moved from one pipe to another and carried from site to site.
Whether you need to quickly verify the reading of another flow meter or log flow values over an extended period, the 3000P covers flow velocities from ±0.01 to ±12 m/s (±0.03 to ±40 ft/s) with an accuracy of ±1% of measured value and 0.2% repeatability, on pipes from 1" to 48" (25 to 1200 mm) in carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC and other compact materials. Its portability makes it an excellent choice for checking sensor, pump and valve performance across the plumbing infrastructure.
The transit-time principle uses the difference between the upstream and downstream travel times of the ultrasonic signal through the moving liquid to calculate velocity and flow. With the optional energy (BTU) function and a pair of clamp-on PT1000 temperature sensors, the 3000P can also serve as a portable ultrasonic energy meter for devices such as heat exchangers.
