The Lutron SC-934 is a handheld sound level calibrator that generates 94, 104 or 114 dB (±0.5 dB) at 125, 250, 500 Hz or 1 kHz (±2%), selected by push buttons with red LED indicators. It accepts 1" and 0.5" microphones and is used to check sound level meters precisely.
The Lutron SC-934 is a portable acoustic calibrator for checking and adjusting sound level meters. It produces a reference sound pressure level of 94, 104 or 114 dB with an accuracy of ±0.5 dB, at a frequency of 125, 250, 500 Hz or 1 kHz with an accuracy of ±2%. The standard reference signal is 94 dB at 1 kHz.
Level and frequency are selected with dedicated push buttons, and red LEDs show the active setting. The calibrator accepts 1" microphones directly and 0.5" microphones through the supplied 0.5" microphone adapter. Harmonic distortion on the 94 dB range is ±2%.
The instrument runs on a single 9 V battery (006P, 6F22) with a consumption of approx. 8 mA, and a built-in LED warns of low battery. The front panel is marked ANSI S1.40-1984 and IEC 60942 : 2003 Class 2.
