GY-M15 Digital Fruit Hardness Tester

The GY-M15 is a handheld digital instrument for measuring the hardness (firmness) of fruit. A probe with a pressure head of Φ11.1 mm is pressed into the fruit to an indenter insertion depth of 10 mm, and the result is shown on the display in the standard fruit hardness unit, Kgf/cm². The measuring range is 0.2–15 Kgf/cm² (×10⁵ Pa) with a division value of 0.01 Kgf/cm² and an accuracy of ±2% from 10% to 100% of the full range.

Three measurement modes — real-time, peak and first peak value — can be switched freely from the keypad (Menu, Mode, Reset, Unit and ON/OFF keys). Upper and lower limits can be set for statistical analysis, with a buzzer alarm when a reading goes beyond the limit. The automatic shutdown time can be set so the tester switches itself off when not in use to save power.

The tester runs on 2 AAA batteries (not included) and weighs about 0.4 kg, with overall dimensions of 124 × 60 × 31 mm.
