Megger MIT420/2 CAT IV Insulation and Continuity Tester

The Megger MIT420/2 belongs to the MIT400/2 (mk2) series of CAT IV insulation and continuity testers. It is designed for electrical and industrial testing and for an exceptionally wide range of applications, including electrical installations, cable testing, motor testing, automotive, ESD, panel building, avionics and maintenance.

Insulation tests run at 50 V, 100 V, 250 V, 500 V and 1000 V, or at any voltage from 10 V to 1000 V in 1 V steps using the variable range. The test voltage is feedback-controlled and held within -0% +2% throughout the test range, compared with the industry standard of +20%, giving an accurate test voltage without the risk of over-voltage damage to circuits or components. Insulation resistance is measured up to 200 GΩ at 1000 V, with Polarization Index (PI), Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR) and timed tests.

A single auto-ranging continuity function covers 0.01 Ω to 1.0 MΩ at 200 mA or 20 mA, and True RMS voltage is measured up to 600 V AC/DC with automatic frequency display. The MIT420/2 also measures capacitance and stores more than 1000 test results. The over-moulded case is sealed to IP54, including the battery and fuse compartment, and the instrument is rated CAT IV 600 V.
