The HAZ-DUST HD-1100 is a hand-held respiratory air monitor manufactured by Environmental Devices Corporation. It uses infrared technology to give accurate, instantaneous readings of airborne particle concentration in accordance with NIOSH method 0600 for lung-damaging respirable particulates, and it is calibrated for US OSHA respirable dust and occupational health applications.

The monitor covers a sensing range of 0.01 to 200 mg/m3 for particles from 0.1 to 50 µm, with two switch-selectable ranges (0-20 and 0-200 mg/m3) and a 3.5-digit LCD reading directly in mg/m3. Results appear as soon as the instrument is switched on, which removes the repetitive gravimetric sampling and the delay of laboratory analysis. It is suitable for all types of dust and aerosols, including lead, coal, chromate, dry chemicals, grain, silica, wood, nuisance dust, heavy metals/PCBs, construction dusts, welding fumes, concrete/cement, pharmaceutical dust and paint spray.

When coupled with the optional DL-103 Data Logger and DustComm Pro software, the readings are stored and turned into statistics, graphs and reports on a PC. Supplied by Easy Test with a one-year warranty.
