Wile 500 is a modern, precise and durable moisture and temperature meter for baled hay, haylage, straw and silage. Separate moisture and temperature meters are no longer needed: both values are measured easily with one and the same instrument.

The meter's automatic density compensation system assesses the density of the bale being measured, which significantly improves the precision of the moisture result. Thanks to its wide measuring range, the Wile 500 can also be used to measure rather moist haylage directly in stacks. The moisture range depends on the material: 8–80% for hay and haylage, 8–25% for straw, 30–84% for hay silage, 40–76% for corn silage and 8–75% for alfalfa.

The sturdy structure, high-quality components and durable stainless-steel probe give the meter a long service life. The Wile 500 has a 50 cm probe; the manufacturer also offers a short version, the Wile 500-S, with a 25 cm probe designed for factory-dried, high-density bales of alfalfa, hay and straw. The manufacturer's warranty is 1 year.
