The Wile 27 is an easy-to-use and reliable moisture meter for users of hay, straw and silage. With its 50 cm probe it measures the moisture of all kinds of baled hay, straw and silage between 10 and 73 % of moisture, and the reading is shown on the LCD display. The meter has moisture settings for different types of bales with variable densities, from 80 to 330 kg/m³.
Hay spoils if it is stored too humid, and it can heat up dangerously during the process. Use the Wile 27 to make sure that baled hay is dry enough to be stored safely, or to find out whether it requires additional drying or treatment.
The Wile 27 can also be used for defining the moisture or dry matter content of silage bales: the meter shows the moisture of the hay or silage, so a reading of 30 % moisture means 70 % dry matter content.
